Emma has always loved dancing from being young and spent many years on the stage. She trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. From there she went on to gain her dance teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She has always had a passion for teaching and gained lots of experience teaching for other schools before deciding to run her own, Footsteps Academy of Dance.

Emma put her invaluable experience into her teaching and is dedicated to providing expert and quality tuition. She is committed to her professional development and spends a lot of time attending courses and seminars to gain even more expertise and qualifications. She is a qualified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and the International Dance Teachers Association. Emma is qualified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique and most recently a qualified acrobatics teacher with the Acrobatic Arts.

She has been running Footsteps for over 12 years and absolutely loves her Footsteps family. She balances it with looking after her two girls and the school is very much a family affair with her Mum, Jeni involved with the admin. Emma's focus is very much on the wellbeing of all of her students. She is proud of both the high standards of dance and also the caring and inclusive nature within the school.

Teacher: Nicola Martin

Nicola began dancing at the age of 4, training in both ISTD and RAD and all styles of dance. She went on to train professionally at Northern Ballet School in Manchester, graduating with a National Diploma in Professional Dance.

She enjoyed a varied career, starting out as a Ballet dancer and then transitioning into Musical Theatre and Choreography. She has appeared in musicals, stage shows, pantomimes, TV and Film which has taken her across the UK and abroad, including America and Canada. We're sure our students will be thrilled to know that Nicola has performed as a dancer on Strictly and Britains Got Talent!

Upon moving to Tunbridge Wells in 2017, whilst still performing and choreographing, she began teaching at various dance schools in the local area.

Now she enjoys teaching all ages from babies to adults and passing on her passion and knowledge to her pupils. She is also a busy mum to her 2 year old son Elliot.
