Footsteps prides itself on being a friendly, fun and family-run dance academy based in Tunbridge Wells. Class sizes are small to allow for plenty of focused tuition and to encourage a relaxed atmosphere. Footsteps believes that every child should have the opportunity to express themselves through dance, regardless of ability.

Once the pupils have found their feet, the opportunity is there to take their new found confidence and skill to the next level and prepare for exams. However, there is no pressure at Footsteps, it is more important that every child looks forward to each fully structured class so that they feel motivated and encouraged every step of the way.

We offer lots of opportunities for the students to perform, from full scale shows to village fetes. We produce a bi-annual show for all our students at a local theatre. Footsteps has discovered that nothing is more enjoyable for the boys and girls than to work as a team in front of an audience, while revelling in the opportunity to be on a working stage in full costume - very much in the spotlight!

We also regularly perform in the West End and possibly our most exciting performances are our trips to perform in Disneyland Paris!

For any students wanting to take their dancing to the next level we prepare them for auditions for associate programmes and full time dance schools and college. We are very proud to have had many students gaining places with many organisations such as the London Junior Ballet, National Youth Ballet, English Youth Ballet, Southern Youth Ballet and Central School of Ballet.
